Feebs with her favorite toys. She just came home.   Feebs at 7 weeks. Already a future bird dog.
Feebs posing. She likes the camera   Feebs posing again.
Feebs and Beau... he's keeping his distance   ~ She is adjusting well in her new home. Her Pheasant is her favorite toy. Good Girl! Beau is feeling a bit left out so he needs extra attention. We are not sleeping well at night though. She's a pee machine!

8 weeks

Feebs playing in the snow, New Years Eve 2008   Bugging Beau, He's getting better with her.
Running and jumping.... she loves it.   What!
A quick pose for mom.    Tough day I guess, Too funny
~ She is getting bigger and stronger. Needs to go to the vet next week. Beau is getting better. She still tends to bug him but he is warming up to her more. She LOVES the snow! Sleeping much better at night now. Doing great on a leash but is still a major pee machine. This may take a while.

First Hunting Trip   01/03/2009
Feebs sniffing her first fresh kill.   She is now getting ready for her big pose.
She likes it so much she tried dragging the thing away.   Aaaand there it is!
Still trying to drag it. It's bigger then she is.   Forget a pose here. Too many sniffs........
~ Well I have to say she did pretty good for 8 weeks. We had been playing a bit during the week with a pheasant wing to "get the sniff on" and apparently she didn't really need it. She went right for it and didn't want to let go. Let the training begin...

~ Great vet visit on the 6th. ~
She took her shots like a trouper, is healthy and weighs 11lbs.
Next visit is 01/21

9 1/2 Weeks

Here she is, crazy as ever bugging a very patient Beau.    Playing in the snow. She LOVES the snow!
A perfect pose.    Feebs loves the camera. It's hard to get a good shot.
She is getting tall now! Working on "Come".    "Sit" command is very good.
~ She is growing too fast and getting bolder. Nips and talks back. But still a lot of fun. Working on the "come" command and then the "heel" command. There are way too many distractions in this house so taking her into another room is a must do. She does well alone. She is also a "digger". Rut Ro! But she is sleeping all night and doing a bit better potty training.

Puppy fun is almost over Feebs. Time to get to work young lady!

11 weeks

A moment of peace and quiet. Ahhhh....   Feebs finally got Beau to play tug of war!!
Chewing a hole in her squeaky toy.    Feebs is winning!!!
~She comes when called very well now. The nipping is pretty much under control. I do have to say that she is a fast learner. Only a few sessions and she has most things down.

~Vet update 01/21 (11 weeks)~
Another great visit. 16 1/2 lbs.
14" tall at her hind end.
We will check this again in a few weeks.

12 & 13 weeks

  Feebs "COME"   Look Pretty
  WAIT FOR IT!   Still posing
STAY   Look how big she's getting!
~ Feebs has had a little set back with some of her commands. Mostly "Come". Mom has been pretty sick so I couldn't work with her very much and now she needs to start over with some stuff. Her potty training still needs work. She definitely has a mind of her own but I think she will pick it all up again fast.
We can't wait for the warm weather to kick in so we can go outside and work!!
With all the snow and ice it is VERY hard to train her to walk and heel properly on the leash and to get her to come when called outside.

Vet visit is 02/10

Great visit. Gained 5 pounds. 21.6 lbs

15 Weeks

   Chow Hound   BIG GIRL!!!!
   Loves her carrots    Huh?
   Her front Pose ((ham))    Sniff....
Her side pose  ~ Another A.O.K. Vet visit last week. 21.6 lbs. Growing like a weed. Eats like she will never see food again. So far I have not found anything she does NOT like. Learning fast. Nipping is under control and she catches and retrieves like a real dog now. Very verbal and runs, runs, runs!! Still a pee machine. She just doesn't care to "get" that. Any ideas?? let me know....We have tried everything.

19 Weeks

Feebs attacking Beau in the back yard.    She is getting beautiful features now.
Feebs and Beau playing in the back yard.    Watching Beau play. Keeping an eye on him!
Looking for birds??    20" tall at her back end now.
She likes the camera... when she will sit still.

Vet visit went well. She gained another 11 lbs. now 32.6lbs. Prediction is 100lbs in 4 more month. We'll see. Being the chow hound that she is, I wouldn't doubt it. She is going hunting this weekend so stay tuned for more pics. She hasn't had any hunting training yet because of the weather but now it's getting nice out so it should start soon. We'll see how well she does this weekend with her instincts.

 Hunt 03/21/09

   Sniffing out birds... we're hoping.

   Finding the bird.
She was having a ball.    Get that bird!
   Following Beau.    Bring it here!!!
Oh no, a stream!    TA DA!!
Comes when she's called. Good Girl!! She did great. I'm not sure if she really knew what she was doing there but as the day went on she got better and better. She stayed right with me and came when she was called. She had tons of fun and so did we so that made it a great day all around! Good Girl Feebs!

27 Weeks

Feebs & Beau are now the same size   Turn around ma..I gotta pee.
Watching squirrels Feebs and Beau are getting along great now. Her potty problem is solved and she is enjoying the summer by chasing birds and eating sticks. More pics coming...

30 Weeks  (June 04, 2009)

Weight is 44lbs. Taller than Beau now too. She is due to get fixed and she will be getting a new sister soon. A Golden Retriever. Mommy is very tired. Here we go again!

35 Weeks        Getting more food now. She is so active she is just burning it off. She needs to gain.
